From Overgrown to Overwhelmingly Beautiful: Our Lancashire Garden Project
If left alone, gardens will always exhibit a life of their own. The only issue is that this very same organic appeal can lead to frustrating problems if elements such as weeds are not kept in check. The team at Lake Stone Paving was recently contacted by a customer in Lancashire who wished to enact a handful of much-needed changes.
What strategies did our landscapers and garden design specialists adopt? What did the project involve and perhaps most importantly, what was the final outcome? We will take a closer look at each of these questions immediately below.
The Initial Consultation and Planning
Every journey begins with a single step. In terms of garden redesign, this comes in the form of an initial no-obligation site survey. We quickly realised that several issues needed to be addressed.
The lawn and nearby fencing had become overrun with weeds. These would need to be manually removed. We also encountered a series of extremely worn concrete paving stones that had served as a makeshift patio at one time.
The ultimate goal was to transform the organic appeal of this garden while providing additional leisure space that the client could enjoy. After discussing various options and strategies, we began tackling the project itself.
More than Timely Maintenance Alone
The bulk of this order was associated with the removal of weeds and overgrowth. These were then replaced with natural turf that provided a uniform appearance to the entire area. However, we also placed a significant amount of focus on comfort and style. The original paving slabs were replaced with block paving stones in order to create a bespoke corner patio. We also installed a slightly raised wooden deck opposite this patio; providing the client with an additional means to enjoy the great outdoors.
Not only did these upgrades transform the entire appearance of the garden, but they also accentuated existing elements such as the fencing and the exterior of the home. As always, our goal was to embrace a synergy of style and functionality without breaking the proverbial bank.
