Project Overview
We have recently completed this block paved driveway installation in Ramsbottom, Bury, giving an old, worn, and tired paved area a new lease of life as a clean, modern, and functional parking area.
The previous surface was worn and tired, having been around for a number of years, and was in need of updating. The idea was to produce a new, fresh, and functional driveway area that would improve both the appearance and function of the front of this property.
Drainage Installation
In order to improve the previous drainage problems, we have installed new ACO channel drains at the front of the driveway. This assists us in effectively managing the water on the driveway’s surface by redirecting it away from the property.
Edging & Step Construction
To complete the driveway and achieve a neat finish, a contrasting border was also installed along the perimeter.
A new platform step was also built at the entrance, which not only enhances the entrance but also blends in well with the new paving design.
Block Paving Installation
The driveway was constructed using Tobermore Shannon Duo blocks, which are known for their durability and appearance, featuring different tones.
Blocks were laid out in a repeating pattern to give a smooth and level finish, with the contrasting edging helping to give the driveway its overall shape.
Finally, the driveway was compacted, and the kiln-dried sand was brushed into the joints to secure everything in place tightly.
The Finished Result
This completed driveway has completely transformed the front of the property. It has changed a dull and uneven driveway into a smart, low-maintenance driveway with improved access, drainage, and a far more modern look.
