Right then, check out this whirlwind transformation we pulled off in Farnworth, Bolton! The mission was to wave goodbye to a boring old driveway and say hello to something with a bit of style and personality. The challenge? The homeowners wanted it all done and dusted in double-quick time. Challenge accepted!
Before: The old driveway was a bit of a let-down. Just a plain, tired space that wasn’t doing this lovely home any favours. It was crying out for a proper makeover to give it some much-needed kerb appeal.
After: What a difference three days make! We’ve created a cracking new driveway that’s packed with features. The classic brindle paving looks warm and welcoming, the sharp charcoal border gives it a modern edge, and the new sleeper planter is the cherry on top.
What We Did (The Speedy 3-Day Blitz!)

Day 1 – The Big Clear Out: No time to hang about! We got straight to it, digging out the old driveway and laying a rock-solid foundation. A proper base is key, so we made sure it was perfect before calling it a day.

Day 2 – The Paving Party: Time for the fun bit! We got cracking with the block paving, laying the main driveway in a classic 45° herringbone pattern using lovely brindle blocks. To make it really pop, we framed the whole thing with a smart charcoal border. We also built a cool little planting area using chunky sleepers – perfect for adding a splash of colour!

Day 3 – The Finishing Touches: To make sure the driveway stays puddle-free, we installed some top-notch ACO channel drains right across the front. After a final brush-in with sand and a good whizz over with the compactor plate, it was tools down. Job done and dusted!
