A small but impactful transformation for an end-terrace house in Rossendale. Our team replaced a tired and weed-filled front garden patch with a clean and stylish Indian Sandstone patio, instantly boosting the property’s curb appeal. The front entrance of the property was let down by a messy, weed-infested patch of soil and a few old, mismatched paving slabs. The area was impractical and detracted from the home’s appearance. The goal was to create a smart, welcoming, and completely low-maintenance entrance that would look great all year round.
What Was Going On?
When we lifted the old, wobbly patio slabs, we knew something was up. A broken drainpipe had been secretly leaking for years, creating a massive sinkhole right next to the house. This wasn’t just a wonky patio; it was a serious issue that needed sorting out, fast. The mission changed from just making it look good to making it safe and secure for the long haul.
Our Solution
- Site Clearance
- We began by completely clearing the area, removing all the old weeds, soil, and existing paving slabs.
- New Sub-Base
- A new, solid sub-base was installed and compacted to create a stable and level foundation for the new patio.
- Patio Installation
- We then laid beautiful Indian Sandstone paving in the classic ‘Raj Green’ colour mix. Each slab was laid carefully on a full bed of mortar to ensure a durable and long-lasting finish that fits perfectly within the existing concrete border.
