We recently dealt with Tommy from Lakestone paving to repave and tarmac our driveway, and I couldn't be more impressed with the results. From start to finish, the entire process was smooth, professional, and stress-free.

The crew showed up on time every day, worked efficiently, and maintained a clean job site throughout. Excellent service from start to finish. What started as a cleaning, resanding and sealing of block stone paving ended with garden levelling, new patio built, new trellis fitted, fencing creosoted, fake grass laid, steps made wider and full roof cleaned of moss etc.

We had a very tired and uneven patio. Tommy and his excellent team transformed it into a lovely outdoor space in two days. The work was finished to a very high standard. The site was left clean and tidy. Cannot recommend highly enough!

I would like to thank Tom and his team for all their hard work restoring our old worn out weather beaten patio. This is now replaced with classic Indian stone and the hidden soak aways reinstated with new piping and gravel. Lakestone paving repaired my imprinted concrete driveway and installed composite fencing all round my property even going above and beyond to install a new fence at the back of the property at no extra cost to myself 100% recommend.

Quite by chance a Checkatrade leaflet dropped through our door as we were looking for a company to lay a block paving path to our front door. I contacted Lake Stone Paving the following day and spoke to Tom. I explained what I was wanting and he agreed to come round the very next afternoon. As promised he arrived on time and we discussed the job. At this point, knowing a little more about what his company did, and finding him pleasant and approachable, I asked him to take a look at our back garden which was in total need of renovation. After listening to my vision of what I wanted for the garden and offering many good ideas and suggestions himself, he gave me a verbal quote for both jobs. When leaving I just happened to mention that our driveway needed some repair work and would he be able to take a look at that whilst completing the other jobs. He agreed to take a look, again offered some great ideas, which resulted in us agreeing to block pave the whole driveway as well. We received a written detailed contract and given a precise timeline. Roll on 2 weeks and Tom and his team rocked up and commenced work. They worked flat out for the first 2/3 days just to get the site cleared. (Tom even arranged for the Yorkshire stone we were removing to be stacked and organised a buyer to come and collect, which he didn’t have to do.) Even my neighbours commented on how hard working the team were! Every night they left my property clean and tidy. They were always polite. After this they brought in tons of hardcore and levelled the whole area, before starting to lay the block paving. The design we agreed upon for the driveway really complements the house. The laying of good quality turf in the back garden finished everything off. Deliveries throughout were well organised, Tom is in control of the job at all times. He was in regular communication with us and kept us up to date with progress. His attention to detail was excellent. The job took almost 2 weeks during which time they had to work through some horrendous weather conditions. No money was payable until the job was complete and we were 100% satisfied. A 5 year guarantee was provided too.



We often hear stories of bad workmen/cowboys which only makes us nervous when spending large sums of our hard earned savings with someone we don’t know; but we need not have worried. Our driveway and garden have been transformed and we can’t thank Tom enough. We would have no hesitation in recommending Lake Stone Paving.

Had an old tarmac drive replaced, along with a railway sleeper follower bed.
Whilst the wet weather hindered the quoted timeframe, this didn’t detract the quality of the work done. Excellent all round and so tidy!

Couldn’t be happier with the work carried out by Tom and his team. Excellent service from start to finish: polite, reliable, knowledgable and efficient. Completed the job (front garden renovation) in just a few days. Solid communication throughout. Paving supplied and fitted to a high standard. New brick structure (steps with platform) built exactly to specification, very neat and matches the house. Flowerbeds prepared ready for planting. All waste taken away, nothing left behind. Company clearly well managed and highly organised. Overall the best experience I’ve had with a contractor in years. Certainly wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. Tom and his team carried out a fab job on my dad's patio, pathway and front of the house. Additionally we had some new fence panels put in, pointing of a wall and new lawn at the front of the house.

From the initial consultation Tom was thorough ensuring that our requirements, materials and drainage were discussed. He offered suggestions in areas we were unsure of such as levelling of the ground in certain areas, style of the block paving to be moon-shaped rather than straight angles.

We were kept informed of the working progress from start to finish and the guys cleaned up before leaving.

I’m really happy with Tom and his lads. He was quick, clean and they grafted. Everybody else I ask to quite either didn’t turn up or said they’d do the job 2023. Tom turned up to quote when he said, gave me a price and started work when I wanted him to. The work is of a high standard and if you have any niggles along the way, he will sort it for you. The design changed from original but that can happen and Tom keeps you fully informed and tells you in detail what is happening so you’re not in the dark. I’d recommend Tom and lakestone paving 100%. Oh and he won’t take a penny off you until he’s made absolutely sure you’re a happy customer. Great service. Good fair prices.

Thank you Lakestone Paving, we love everything you have done for us, the drive looks fabulous, and so does the paving around the house. The men worked extremely hard for two weeks and when finished everything was swept up and left Prestine. Absolute fantastic job on my terraced house yard by lakestone paving. Took out old unwanted flower beds and then paved with Indian standstone to put a modern twist on an old house but still making everything look like it belongs.

Brilliant job done on my garden. We moved in and it was like a forest. Lakestone have block paved such a large area and made it unique with dark grey and light grey blocks which makes it stand out. Also having fake grass in a circle was no problem for them. Brilliant lads. Very pleased and will be using them again for my driveway

Tom and his team have done an excellent job of converting and upgrading my old garden. Throughout they were flexible in scope to suit my requirements as the project evolved as well as offering design solutions to improve the final appearance.
