What a project! This 10-day transformation in Burnley was one of our most ambitious and rewarding yet. Our team pulled together a mix of materials, design features, and creative touches to completely reinvent the front, side, and rear of this property. The result? A showstopping outdoor space that blends natural beauty with modern practicality.
Project Steps:
- Full Site Preparation:
- We began by excavating and clearing the existing uneven and tired surfaces, setting the stage for a fresh start across multiple areas of the property.
- Rustic Burnt Willow Edging:
- To create continuity throughout the project, we used Rustic Burnt Willow block paving as a character border. This distinctive edging tied together all areas beautifully – from the patios to the driveway.
- Autumn Blend Indian Sandstone Patios:
- The patios were laid using 600×900 Autumn Blend Indian Sandstone slabs, bringing warm tones and natural variation. This extended across both rear and side patios, connected by a flowing S-bend pathway, adding movement and visual appeal.
- Raised Sleeper Beds & Artificial Grass:
- To soften the look and add greenery, we constructed bespoke raised timber sleeper beds and fitted artificial grass on the patio and side garden – low maintenance, lush, and perfect all year round.
- Bullnose Key Kerb Steps:
- Every step around the property was upgraded to bullnose key kerb steps, offering a smooth and premium finish for easy access and style.
- Front Driveway & Finishing Touches:
- The front driveway was finished in Candle Grey Indian Sandstone in a multi-size layout, bordered with Burnt Willow for contrast. A crisp tarmac run provided a practical and neat finish for vehicle access.
- Custom Concrete Base:
- For a fun twist, we even created a custom-shaped concrete base for the bin storage area – because who says practical can’t be creative?
