Large Block Paved Driveway and Path in Rochdale
We recently completed this extensive 120 square meter driveway transformation in Rochdale, turning a tired and uneven concrete space into a stunning, modern entrance to the property. The entire project, from excavation to the final touches, was completed in just 7 days.
Our Process
As you can see from the “before” images, the existing driveway was dated and worn. The initial phase of the project involved breaking up and removing all of the old concrete and vegetation, a significant task that required careful and thorough site clearance. Our team then meticulously prepared the groundwork, leveling the entire 120m² area to create the perfect foundation for the new surface. This preparation stage is crucial for ensuring a long-lasting and durable finish.

Laying The Block Paving
With the foundations set, we began laying the block paving. The client chose a stylish combination of Brindle and Charcoal blocks, which we laid in a classic 45° herringbone pattern. This design adds a sense of depth and character to the large space. To ensure a seamless and practical finish, we integrated two recess manhole covers, hiding them from view while keeping them fully accessible.
Finishing Touches
Beyond the main driveway, the project also included a new block-paved garden path and a step, creating a cohesive look that flows from the front of the house right through to the garden. The finished result is a clean, expansive, and highly durable driveway that dramatically enhances the property’s curb appeal.
