- Excavation & Ground Preparation:
- We began by excavating and removing the existing, worn-out driveway surface along with any moss and debris. The area was then carefully levelled and compacted, before installing a strong MOT type 1 sub-base to create a solid and stable foundation for the new tarmac. Proper groundwork is essential for durability and long-term performance.
- Courtyard Paved Border:
- Next, we installed a courtyard-style paved edging border around the entire driveway. This added decorative definition while also complementing the property’s period architecture, tying the new surface beautifully to the existing stonework.
- Fine 10mm Cool Run Tarmac:
- Once the edging was complete, we laid a fine 10mm cool run tarmac across the prepared base. The tarmac was machine-rolled to achieve a smooth, professional finish that’s both hard-wearing and visually striking.
- Blending with Property Style:
